The conception of an idea

So there we were, a bunch of people interested in Language and the Social Media, talking about teaching, research, application, impact...

Communication over the internet - something we all do yet we all know so little about it. People's perception of "the language of the internet"is overmystified and oversimplified.

Why don't they know about the fascinating research we all do? How can we make our voices heard?

So here I am, setting the background colour for Lingua Digitalis, my blog about  language, digital discourse, business communication, virtual teams, society, identity, ... oh, and of course, emoticons.:)
